Queen Salote wTributeToFounder_356-1Langafonua ‘A Fefine Tonga Handicraft is a women’s organization founded by Her Majesty Late Queen Salote Tupou III of Tonga in the 1950s. The objective is promoting and sustaining the role of women in building healthy families, arts & culture, education, business and economics.

For some years now in America women have been coming together in subordination of the original objectives. Thus, there have been international interactions and a USA branch of Langafonua’s women’s organization established with a national board of directors chaired by Aiona Fakalata Teu, Lata Hola and officers with Her Majesty Queen Nanasi Tuku’aho of Tonga as honorary president. 2013-10- Langafonua Ladies_640w

On the videos Mrs. Felofiaki Muimui Kofutu’a introduces the work of Women’s Langafonua USA (Langafonua ‘a Fefine Tonga/USA) in English and Tongan. She was President of Women’s Langafonua USA from 2012-2013. Felofiaki lives with her family in Sacramento, California.

The current President of Women’s Langafonua USA is Mrs. Latalatai  Hola. She, too, lives with her family in Sacramento, California.
