TOFA (To’utupu ‘oe ‘Otu Felenite Association) Inc., which translated means Youth Leaders of the Pacific. TOFA officially launched as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on October 6th, 2000. TOFA was started to provide a much needed Pacific Island community-based organization that could support the growing numbers of Pacific Islanders in the Sacramento area. When TOFA began its work over 13 years ago, there was no community organization that could work with the language and cultural barriers faced by many Pacific Islanders, especially youth, to assist in their transition as productive members of society.
The mission of TOFA is to preserve and enhance the Pacific Islander Community in the Greater Sacramento Area by providing resources that support and promote Health & wellness, Higher Education, Community Leadership Opportunities, Civil Rights Awareness, and Cultural Arts.
